Introduction
Incheon National University’s FEATHERS, formerly known as Baemin, is a badminton club founded in 2022 by students who share a passion for badminton. Since its establishment, the club has remained highly active through a variety of on- and off-campus activities, including regular Sunday sessions, club MT trips, and friendly exchange matches with badminton clubs from other universities. FEATHERS is also registered with the Nuri Association, a nationwide federation of university badminton clubs, and participates in exchanges and competitions with universities in the Gyeonggi and Seoul areas. Through these activities, FEATHERS aims not only to improve members’ athletic abilities and build friendships, but also to help members discover the joy of sports and develop a broader perspective on life through athletic participation. Ultimately, the club seeks to foster well-rounded individuals who cultivate intellectual, moral, and physical growth. In addition, through intercollegiate exchange events among universities in the Incheon area, FEATHERS promotes交流 and mutual development with other university badminton clubs in the region. Since the club values a passion for badminton above athletic ability, FEATHERS is open to all students who love badminton.
Regular activities are one of FEATHERS’ main programs and are held every Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Incheon National University gymnasium. Members participate in free-play matches and basic skills training each week, providing opportunities to improve their abilities while building friendships with fellow members.
Intercollegiate exchange matches are held with badminton clubs from other universities in the Incheon area. These events consist of tournament-style matches as well as casual games in which members can participate freely. FEATHERS currently holds exchange matches with Gachon University Medical Campus, Inha University, Yonsei University International Campus, Ghent University, and Gyeongin National University of Education. Joint exchange events involving three or more clubs are also organized. These events provide valuable opportunities to receive feedback on athletic performance, broaden perspectives, and build friendships through interaction with students from other universities.
In addition to regular activities and exchange events, FEATHERS organizes various social activities each semester, including welcome dinners for new members, MT trips, and gatherings after regular sessions, creating opportunities for members to communicate and build stronger relationships. The club also participates in competitions organized by groups such as the Nuri Association, helping members develop a strong sense of community and belonging. Since passion for badminton matters more than skill level, there is no need to hesitate because of your current ability!
