Introduction
The College of Natural Sciences was established to foster basic science, research and develop new science and technology, and to cultivate talent that will contribute to the development of science and technology.
In 1980, the Departments of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Home Economics were established, and in 1988, the Dept. of Clothing and Textiles was established, leading to the college being upgraded to the College of Natural Sciences. In 2012, the Department of Oceanography was established. Currently, it is organized into the College of Natural Sciences (Departments of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Oceanography, and Fashion Industry).

Educational Objectives and Goals
The College of Natural Sciences aims to cultivate inquisitive scientists as its educational goal. The Natural Sciences track aims to foster talents who contribute to the development of science and technology by providing a variety of basic theoretical and practical courses encompassing both major and liberal arts fields, while the Life Sciences track aims to foster talents who ultimately contribute to improving the quality of life by enhancing the quality of the environment in which humans live.
