College of Education

The College of Education established the Department of Early Childhood Education in the 2010 academic year and seven new departments in the 2011 academic year, currently operating a total of eight departments.

Introduction

The College of Education was established starting with the Department of Early Childhood Education in the 2010 academic year, followed by the creation of seven new departments in the 2011 academic year: Korean Language Education, English Language Education, Japanese Language Education, Mathematics Education, Physical Education, History Education, and Ethics Education. The College of Education defines the ideal talent profile suited for the 21st-century AI and digital era as a "communicative talent challenging creative innovation" equipped with competencies in creativity, critical thinking, communication, and collaboration. It fosters secondary and early childhood teachers with professional expertise and practical experience, as well as future education experts in the field of education.

Educational Objectives and Goals

Fostering respected teachers equipped with the professional competence and educational qualities necessary to educate the talents who will become the leaders of Korean society.

1Cultivate specialized knowledge in pedagogy and subject matter education, as well as teaching expertise.
2We foster classroom-friendly teachers through the development and operation of field-appropriate curricula.
3We promote the development of the local community's educational culture through educational and research activities linked to the educational field.
4It contributes to the retraining and professional development of incumbent teachers through the operation of various teacher training programs.
