Course Registration
Registration Period
Registration takes place before the beginning of each semester. Detailed information will be provided when the academic calendar and course registration guide are distributed.
Registration Method
Students must register online using a computer with internet access.
Credit Load
- The standard course load is 17 to 19 credits per semester. When unavoidable due to the credit structure of courses, students may register for one additional credit, up to a maximum of 20 credits.
- Students with a grade point average of 3.5 or higher in the previous semester may register for up to 21 credits. Students with a grade point average of 4.0 or higher may register for up to 24 credits.
- Students in their final academic year must register for at least 9 credits. Students who have completed more than eight semesters may register only for the credits required to meet their graduation requirements, and tuition will be charged according to the number of credits registered.
- Students may register for up to 6 credits of cyber courses offered through the Open Cyber University (OCU) as general elective courses per semester. When changing registration for an OCU course, the course may only be replaced with another cyber course. A separate system usage fee must also be paid.
Course Registration Changes
Students may change their course registration online during the designated course registration change period. After this period, changes are not permitted unless a registered course has been canceled.
Important Notes
- Students may not register for courses with overlapping class schedules.
- Credits will not be awarded for courses attended without official registration.
- When a student completes two or more courses with substantially identical content, credits earned from the course taken later will not be counted toward the credits required for graduation.
- Students must check the courses that students in their department or division are prohibited from taking before registering. Credits earned from restricted courses will not be counted toward graduation requirements.
Whether courses are considered equivalent will be determined by the head of the department or division responsible for offering the courses.
