Introduction
Our club was founded in March 1985 under the name 'Cinema' and was renamed 'Young Image' in March 1988.
Since then, we have held the 'Young Image Film Festival' and the 'Independent Film Festival' every year.
At the Young Image Film Festival, we screen films that audiences may not normally have the opportunity to encounter, organizing them around a specific theme.
In 1999, under the theme “Life Is Beautiful” (Joy, Anger, Sorrow, and Happiness), we screened films including The Secret Garden, Whisper of the Heart, Waterloo Bridge, and The Shining.
The Independent Film Festival is, as the name suggests, a festival featuring films created entirely by our own members.
As a community of film lovers, we present short films produced with our own creativity and passion.
Our members take part in nearly every aspect of filmmaking, including screenwriting, cinematography, lighting, acting, and directing.
Through this process, members can experience the joy of creating films firsthand.
Anyone who loves movies is always welcome to join us~
