Introduction
Hello! We are “Hamsung,” the central band club of Incheon National University.
Our name, “Hamsung,” carries the meaning of “a cry released through music.” It represents our desire to express the deep emotions and passionate energy that cannot always be conveyed through ordinary words, releasing them freely into the world through melody and rhythm.
Hamsung is affiliated with the Cultural Division of Incheon National University’s central student clubs. Founded in 1988, it is one of the university’s long-standing student organizations. At the time of its establishment, the club began as a group performing minjung gayo, or Korean folk protest songs that reflected the voices of the times. Over the years, it has evolved into a modern band centered on contemporary band sounds while continuing to express the stories and experiences of our generation through music.
Are you hesitating because you have never played an instrument before? There is no need to worry. Hamsung welcomes anyone who has the passion and willingness to learn. :)
Anyone who loves music and wants to express their true feelings on stage is always welcome.
