The Department of Japanese Language & Literature at Incheon National University has secured a 100 million KRW scholarship from the Nitori International Scholarship Foundation, established by Japan’s leading home furnishing company, Nitori.

The scholarship will provide 5 million KRW each to 20 undergraduate and graduate students. Continued support is expected in the coming years.

Nitori, which operates over 1,000 stores worldwide, is Japan’s largest lifestyle brand and has actively pursued scholarship initiatives to promote mutual growth across Asia. This donation was made in recognition of the department’s outstanding achievements and promising potential for future development.

The Department of Japanese Language & Literature at Incheon National University is one of Korea’s leading academic institutions in Japanese studies. The department explores Japan in depth through a multidisciplinary approach that includes language and literature, subculture, regional studies, history, and anthropology.
