The Humanities Research Institute at Incheon National University will be offering a five-week course titled "Webtoon Creation Roadmap for Humanities Students" as part of its 2025 First-Half Future Convergence Competency Enhancement Program for Humanities Students.

This new initiative, launched in 2025, aims to broaden employment opportunities for students in the humanities. It introduces students to a variety of industries based on humanities disciplines and provides them with opportunities to gain both direct and indirect experience in these fields.

As the first special lecture of this program, "Webtoon Creation Roadmap for Humanities Students" will be led by the webtoon artist ASIL. Students will receive comprehensive instruction, from theory to practice, in webtoon creation. ASIL is the recipient of the Encouragement Award in the 2021 Naver Webtoon Contest (2nd Edition) and has since published works such as Goodbye Confucian Boy (Naver Webtoon), Wild Party Again Today (Kakao Webtoon), and Can Breasts Be Recalled? (Kakao Webtoon). Notably, ASIL is also a graduate of the Department of Korean Language and Literature at Incheon National University, making her well-positioned to connect closely with current students.
