The Lifelong Education Center of Incheon National University (Director: Sang-jeong Han) announced that, at the 2026 Incheon Citizens’ College Citizen Life College Honorary Citizen Degree Conferment Ceremony held on March 6 at the Incheon City Hall Grand Conference Room, a total of 11 participants were awarded honorary bachelor’s degrees.

The ceremony, hosted by the Incheon Human Resources Development Foundation, was organized to recognize the academic achievements of citizens who faithfully completed the structured curriculum of the Citizen Life College and to widely share the value and outcomes of lifelong learning within the local community.

Incheon Citizens’ College awards honorary bachelor’s degrees to learners who meet rigorous completion requirements, including mandatory courses such as Incheon Studies. Furthermore, it has established a systematic lifelong learning framework by granting honorary master’s degrees to those who, after earning a bachelor’s degree, successfully complete advanced programs such as major seminars, field practice activities, and graduation project evaluations.

As a national university, Incheon National University’s Lifelong Education Center has been fulfilling its social responsibility by providing an open platform for lifelong education to Incheon citizens while playing a central role in fostering a learning ecosystem that grows together with the local community. The graduation of these 11 honorary bachelor’s degree recipients represents a meaningful outcome of the university’s continued efforts to promote community-based lifelong education.

Director Sang-jeong Han stated, “Beyond the accumulation of knowledge, we aim to contribute to a life enriched with experience and wisdom, and ultimately to the realization of a happy and inclusive local community.” He added, “We hope that obtaining an honorary citizen degree at our Lifelong Education Center will serve as a stepping stone for new growth, and that learners will continue to expand their capabilities as mature cultural citizens who embrace not only Incheon but the world.”
